Gündal, having carried out his painting work with his teacher Salih Oral, studied at Hacettepe University. With his work, Gündal exhibits an attitude that is quite different from the traditional. As it is visible in his four pieces in the collection, this non-traditional approach manifests itself not only in figure and composition but also in material selection.
With the human figures he uses, the artist reveals different moods, the chaos and the ways in which these figures manifest themselves. In particular, the artist confronts us with examples of the violent states of soul that we are not accustomed to seeing too often or that are not explicitly expressed by people. In addition to these, the artist reflects the moods that will bring calm, soft, sometimes desperate to mind, and produces works with important clues to explore human psychology. The facial expressions and gestures of the figures are presented very strongly. The fact that these figures, which are usually naked, are placed on the backgrounds with vivid colors increases the power of expression. Gündal, who is also interested in different practices such as wall painting and graphics, also gives art courses.
