    Eser Keçeci

    (Ceramics, Collage, Print, Paper Art)

Keçeci is an artist who produces in different branches of art besides ceramics. It is also possible to see this diversity in her works of art appearing in the university collection. The forms of the three-dimensional artwork made with clay are quite minimal and simple. Three examples from the series named as Iglos were shaped by making the clay smooth. By combining geometric forms in different ways, the artist creates her own pieces through experimenting with different thickness levels and forms a small abstract sculpture with clay dough.

Apart from these, portraits created by the artist using the relief method through the use of waste newspaper are also visible in the collection. Thus, Keçeci, whose work can be observed on the figure, shows that an artist can do with any material in hand. The artist, who also works as a lecturer at the Near East University's Faculty of Fine Arts, manages to keep herself updated as an impact of working with new minds. The artist extends her scale by adding more modern methods such as digital printing, collage, and graphics alongside with old fields of arts such as ceramics. In Keçeci's works, not only can the structural movements be examined, but she also leads to different inquiries with her practices on social issues.
